SCOTLAND’S GREATEST FASHION EXPORTS
At the end of the month Scotland kicks off the September fashion calendar with the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival. In celebration of this, Tomassa will look at Scotland’s greatest fashion exports.
JONATHAN SAUNDERS
Saunders debuted at London Fashion Week in 2003 and has been a prominent figure in fashion since. He is well known for his print designs and silk screening techniques – pattern dominates his collections.

MICHELLE MONE
Businesswoman and self-made millionaire, Michelle is the ultimate rags to riches story. She is the founder and CEO of Ultimo Lingerie, as well as several other businesses. Her smartest move was securing Ultimo’s onscreen debut in Erin Brokovich, giving Julia Roberts that extra oomph and guaranteed worldwide exposure.

CHRISTOPHER KANE
Kane was awarded Young Designer of the Year at the 2006 Scottish Fashion Awards, which catapulted him to fashion fame. That year he designed a capsule collection for Topshop and has taken the fashion world by storm since then. Despite claiming he does not have a trademark look, most people pinpoint his use of neon colours.
