BALHAM BOWLS CLUB

Balham Bowls Club, Balham

As London pubs go, Balham Bowls Club is pretty unique. The old bowls club decor has been preserved, a mish-mash of old furniture, kitsch accessories, pictures of the Queen and old bowling signs but somehow it all just works.

The laid back atmosphere attracts locals of all ages but it has become the more trendy of Balham venues and the recent renovation of the first floor has added the much needed space to fit all of its local fans.

As well as offering great food and reasonably priced drinks it is a great pub for stumbling across random events. You could wander in and find musical bingo one night and a vintage fair another. It is also where the local ukulele society meet to practice – always a fun sing-a-long!

For an unbeatable atmosphere, relaxed crowd and reasonable prices in SW London this local pub has it all – definitely worth a visit!
